May 8, 2025We feel very fortunate to have found such a warm and wonderful daycare for so many years, our 3 children attended Vivan Los niños. Social and emotional development are the pillars of their approach to teaching and caring. The teachers fostered open communication between parents and caregivers, keeping families informed about their child's progress and well-being while fostering community.
Vivan Los niños was for us a safe, and nurturing environment, the caregiver's attentiveness and dedication to each individual stage, age and personality always stood out.
Staff were always knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about working with children. The school focuses also in the importance of food in children, teachers were passionate about cooking and provided delicious and nutricios meals. My kids always talked about meal time.
Our kids are departing VLN caring, confident and enthusiastic about learning. Thank you!
August 20, 2024Our son just "graduated" preschool from VLN, and we couldn't have been happier with his care and experience. Hilda and her team love the kids in a way that I always felt comfortable dropping him off in the morning, and I knew he would be in excellent hands.
The community is hands down the best part of VLN. In addition to a close knit group of kids, there is also a really vibrant family community. We met great people, and our kid made some great friends.
He just started TK, and we've already received comments from his teacher that she was impressed with his social and emotional skills, skills that are highly prioritized at VLN.
We'll be sending our younger child once she turns 2!
September 24, 2023If only I'd found Hilda sooner... she has created such a lovely, warm, and wonderful preschool environment, I'm torn between singing her praises and keeping the information to myself to give to only my closest friends.
She, along with Delia and Faila, truly love the children in their care. It's a fantastic in-home daycare with strong community vibes, and I feel like if I try to list all the positives, no one would believe such a place exists.
The kids are loved and love to be here. They run a fun program that allows kids to learn at whatever pace they need - my kiddo went in with NO interest in learning letters, and came out writing their name and recognizing all the alphabet.
Despite it being an in-home daycare, Hilda really wants the kids to succeed at the transition to the next school, so she offers enrollment at Lab School for the older kiddos. This partnership with the local college strengthens our ties to the community, and also gives the kids a more traditional "school" experience within the bounds of Hilda's loving program. I fully credit my child's smooth transition to TK to her excellent planning and oversight.
And I haven't even mentioned the backyard or home-cooked meals ...which I'm still hoping for the enchilada recipe... because my kid will probably always be a rice-and-beans-and-corn lover for the rest of their life.
If you're looking for a home-away-from-home for your child, you can do no better than VLN.
June 15, 2022I cannot say enough good things about VLN and Hilda, Delia and Fila! Our son attended VLN as a four year old in 2017 and our daughter just graduated this June, as she will be moving to TK in August. We feel so lucky that both of them got to experience VLN's loving environment, yummy homemade food, freedom to play and be creative, and the joyful community that Hilda creates for kids and families. VLN is truly a gem and gives children such a wonderful foundation of love, play and care for oneself and others. It's such a gift to parents to know your child is happy to attend school every day, and being taught and cared for with so much love!
November 4, 2021Vivan Los Ninos is a truly magical place. My two daughters thrived there and I'm thrilled that my youngest will begin there soon. Hilda and the other teachers are brimming with love, compassion, honesty, integrity, strength, and patience. The overall theme there is "love and respect;" these exact words are taught to the children when they encounter conflict. They are shown through modeling and gentle guidance to gain perspective and to treat others with kindness. Nurturing is the foundation at VLN, shown through genuine love, amazing homemade food, and a strong community of parents and caregivers that is facilitated by social gatherings and online communication.
VLN is incredibly safe. Even before Covid it was one of the cleanest places I've ever seen, and the high standards of hygiene were integrated seamlessly. After Covid this became even stronger, with clear expectations and communication with families, amped up cleaning, and expanded time outside. Hilda is direct, clear, loving, and understanding. She is the person you want your kids to spend their time with - they will come home exhausted, knowing they are loved.
I am so grateful that our family found VLN. My kids blossomed, did art, sang songs, napped peacefully, and found a community that took care of them as they took care of each other. It truly is perfection!
February 4, 2020I've been wanting to write a review for a while, but always stall because I can't find the right words to describe what a wonderful experience it has been to be part of the vln preschool family for the past four years. My older daughter started at 3 1/2 and is now in first grade. She went to kindergarten confident that she was capable, and most importantly, that she was loved. She enrolled in a dual language school and had no problems with the Spanish. My younger daughter is now 4 and will be graduating in June before moving on to tk and has had the same experience of learning and being loved and cared for.
My daughters both came home with stories of delicious food, exciting make believe , and an abundance of playtime under the beautiful oak tree in Hilda's backyard.
I'm so appreciative of everything both my kids have gained from being there and would recommend it to any family who wants their kid to learn to be kind, loving and brave.
